Taking a glance at Paris.

- in France we say "Paris est romantique"
- Paris is romantic?)
- Yes, but in french its better ;)

Everything sounds better in French:)
So...Yes, It was Paris!
I guess every girl dreams to visit it once. And though I always put it off for special time, I couldn't regret this trip. What if next time will never come?...If you have an opportunity, you must use it!

My first impression was very ambiguous due to the long flight, bad grey weather and rain. But right after we checked in our hotel (with a very pleasent view from window) and ate a fresh baguette with macarela, things changed for the better. Although plans were frustrated, it didn't affect my mood. "I'm in Paris. Lucky me!"

Our main wish was to feel the city, to see it in motion, to enjoy splendour and make a good time walking everywhere, so visits to museums were reserved for the future:)
But of course after having read "The Da Vinci Code", looking The Louvre Pyramid was number one at our program.

Nearby is The Île de la Cité - one of two remaining natural islands in the Seine. At the eastern side you can see Notre-Dame de Paris - one of the finest examples of French Gothic architecture, and it is among the largest and most well-known church buildings in the world. The enter is free so that everyone could come and enjoy its inner decoration and stained glasses.

The bottom of the Eiffl Tower I approached right at 20 o'clock when it started to shine!
It looks fantastic! Not just simple iron construction, but global cultural icon of France and one of the most recognizable structures in the world. And next morning we reached the top of it! I guess in summer the line is very long and it may take you several hours before getting the lift inside. But March is not touristic season and at the same time the weather is well enough and warm, so I strongly reccomend you to visit France in spring;)

Paris is very expensive, but this fact didn't stop me in making shopping!
And what is the most appropriate place for this purpose if not les Champs-Élysées?
You can also find there a maison of LaDuree - a birthplace of my beloved macarons. Don't pass and try them all \m/

After a long and active stroll you should stay for a lunch at one of great numbers of cafes. They have special offers at day times and the cost is approximately 20 euro for one preson. We also visited a special place at Montmartre - Les deux Moulins - where the main character of the film Ameli worked. Don't forget to order an onion soup and a glass of wine.

For those who enjoy "Darkness and dark nights" may be interesting to visit Catacombes de Paris - underground ossuaries that hold the remains of about six million people and fill a renovated section of caverns and tunnels that are the remains of historical stone mines, giving it its reputation as "The World's Largest Grave".

Time flew very quickly, but I gain some insight into Paris and saw main places of interest.
One day I wish I could...
  • Visit it again and spend much more time there. Versailles is waiting for its Queen!
  • Go for a breakfest, take a cup of coffee with croissant and enjoy the beauty of morning in Paris.
  • Make a perfect photo opposite the Eiffl Tower with someone special.
Now it's you turn! Now YOU should go to Paris!
And if you are as young as me do it as quickly as possible - before 24 years old all tickets to tourist attractions are cheaper;)

A few pics in the end...
