Autumn 2015

Image
The last day of November, it's time to sum up! My beloved and anticipated autumn has come to end. 90.1% of plans are implemented. (Well done!) To begin with, it started in a beautiful place - in Monaco! I was really taken aback by splendit views, posh atmosphere and luxury. How about spending a weekend at Hotel de Paris?;) Now I know where I will go on my honeymoon^^ September brought some happiness as it was really warm, and Indian Summer lasted for a couple of weeks. It is a time for meetings with old friends, sharing impressions about resent vacations and plans for the future.  ...And here comes October. A very special week took place in Nurnberg where I went with colleagues for an exhibition. I enjoyed those days, everything was especially exciting for the first time! So much new information, acquaintances, busy days, but long evenings in a good company, and a whole bag of purchases and gifts. On my Birthday I finally woke up abroad, but its cel

When you need a break

We all need a good rest at least once a year. Last year I wasn't lucky to spend holidays at a sea shore as I had been on a reabilitation. And this summer visiting resort was my number one point at "to do list". Month by month I had been feeling how stress was accumulated. I spent lots of time lost in reflection. About different stuff, but generally about future. When you don't feel you are on a right place, you try to change something in life and build further plans. But my plans vary almost every week, they are contradictiory and need planty of time to be realized. They need me to make great efforts, but instead of making first steps I considered other variants and options which didn't result in unambiguous solution... Don't spend to much time in reflection, it's a waste of energy and it creats diffidence and a fear of failure. ...So I spent my holidays in sunny Spain at a very lovely place not far from Barcelona. But first 3-4 days I couldn't rela

Rothenburg ob der Tauber

Image
I'm fond of Germany and especially Bavaria if you have noticed. And when I have chance to reveal new places while being on a training (thanks to my fantastic job), I try to use it. This time I happened to visit  Rothenburg ob der Tauber . B uildings within the walled city reflect the city's medieval history and evidence of a bygone age is discovered on almost every corner. Narrow towers and imposing ramparts, winding alleyways and picturesque oriels, half-timbered houses lovingly decorated with window boxes and hanging baskets, colorful gardens - all this makes Rothenburg o.d. Tauber very romantic and charming. I felt I had been transported into a fairytale. By the way, there is an interesting fact that the imaginery of Walt Disney’s “Pinocchio” was very much influenced by sketches of Rothenburg ob der Tauber he knew.  For me personally it was very important to get the city. I was taken aback while standing right in front of my "wallpapers". I would

VisitStockholm

Image
"Only miss the sun when it starts to snow..." Hej-hej=) I've fallen behind with my report about recent visit to Stockholm. Now it's here;)  Being the main country of Scandinavia (it's only my opinion) I should have visited Sweden much earlier. But when you have a special purpose besides ordinary tourist trip it's much more relevant. We stayed at typical ikea-style apartment and I was totally happy about it! White walls and furniture with a strong emphasis on a few bright colours, simple interior items, but very cute - The Swedes are good judges of making their home light and cosy. We weren't succed with a weather those days. The rain could break out and stop suddenly. But local citizens got used to it, they don't take umbrelas and kids walk in light T-shirts, whereas I wraped scarf and wear a hat. It's not surprising as they are tempered from childhood. You know, Sweden seemed to be a real good place for upbringing children and grea

Taking a glance at Paris.

- in France we say "Paris est romantique" - Paris is romantic?) - Yes, but in french its better ;)  Everything sounds better in French:) So...Yes, It was Paris! I guess every girl dreams to visit it once. And though I always put it off for special time, I couldn't regret this trip. What if next time will never come?...If you have an opportunity, you must use it! My first impression was very ambiguous due to the long flight, bad grey weather and rain. But right after we checked in our hotel (with a very pleasent view from window) and ate a fresh baguette with macarela, things changed for the better. Although plans were frustrated, it didn't affect my mood. "I'm in Paris. Lucky me!" Our main wish was to feel the city, to see it in motion, to enjoy splendour and make a good time walking everywhere, so visits to museums were reserved for the future:)  But of course after having read "The Da Vinci Code", looking The Louvre Pyram
