The City.

I believe that signs surround us everywhere we go. If you simply slow down and look around, you'll observe them.  ...I've never thought to visit "The City" in the near future. Of course, it is in my list "must travel", but... somehow, in couple of years:) I've never been interested in learning its language, history, but suddenly things have changed. ...I suppose, the turning point was in December in one pretty evening when I was told "You should go to "The City". Without any explanations, just recommendation. Since that day I started to notice little signs all around: in cafe, at the cinema, in lyrics. They literally appeared at home on walls! I got acquainted with some guys from this country, few friends recently posted photos in social networks, the new book about "The City" became popular and it is downloaded in my tablet. ...And when I was proposed to spend weekend there I didn't believe that it could be true....

Another one day.

Hello, world! Today is another one pretty Friday the 13th! I do believe that this date will bring a lot of good news and unexpected events instead of troubles as many people suppose. Generally, I expect some positive changes to come soon. Thanks to my big part of family for proof of an idea that everything is possible when you try and do efforts and no obstacles can hinder you in realization of a dream. Don't give up. Follow your path. And believe in better. Here are some pictures for your inspiration;) And have a good day!

Nuremberg.

As some of you may know recently I've started my career at Audiology department of Siemens (currently we are changing our name due to reorganization, but this is for better). And I'm honestly happy about this opportunity to work with professionals in a good team where I can grow and develop. ...My first visit to Germany took place in early December. I haven't mentioned that because, you know, in some cases I can be superstitious:) But that meeting really impressed me and ensured in a success of employment. Erlangen 2014 This time I was invited to the training as a full employee. So, last week I spent in Erlangen and Nuremberg. It was very useful, a lot of new information, stories of from practice, upcoming plans and much more. On Wednesday we had a free evening. The weather was so great that I enjoyed the walk around the city visiting the castle, main squares and churches. What is Nuremberg? It was an early centre of humanism, science, printing. It's the "i...

All-round Lviv

Let me return to the beautiful Lviv city. It's definitely stolen my heart and I hope to enjoy its atmosphere somehow once again. Maybe you'll wanna see it by yourself?;) Just look these beautiful all-round views and try to look and see every detail.

It all starts with coffee.

I've been to Ukraine so many times, but never felt that I'm in other country. This time it feels as if I were in Europe. And it's not surprising, in different times Lviv was a part of Poland and Austria, and you still may see their heritage. ...My first walk around the city took place in the centre where a Christmas fair was held: gingerbreads, caramel apples, mulled wine, woollen clothes and a lot of handicrafts. ...I was shown Opera-house, Town hall, The Armenian Church, St. George's Cathedral... You should visit a lot of unique and special places. First of all my sister took me to the "Львівська Копальня Кави" - a birthplace of coffee. Do you know where the Lviv's coffee is extracted? The answer is "from the bowels of the earth". And now I suggest you to make a short tour to this place;) "It all starts with coffee: morning, things, love".

Say Goodbye to the year 2014.

Image
Hello, dear friends. I think it's time to say some words about the year 2014. So... It wasn't simple. All achievements came with great difficulty. And until the end of December some unsolved problems remained. I don't want to list everything that had happened during this mad year. So far I have mixed feelings. But if we talk about positive things I can say that I've finally got an interesting job and a possibility to return to the sport. I'd visited Europe four times, traveled a little in Russia and currently being in Lviv. Many important things had happened like graduation from the University and I had a surgery after 6 years of preparation. But I would not want to repeat the same year. I wish you a pleasant, gentle and very happy new year! Despite of all the political and economical difficulties that will definitely come don't stop keep moving towards your goals. I'm happy to breathe a sigh of relief finally because this new year I'm spending...

Калининград. Kaliningrad. Königsberg.

Image
The December has just become and it means that my beloved autumn is gone. I haven't mentioned some curious events that had happend. Pushing on to fill in the gap:) My "band of robbers" and me didn't stop getting acquainted with cities of Russia. And it had been decided that we should visit Kaliningrad. I prefer to call it Königsberg, sounds more german;) Having survived after twety-two hours trip by train and having crossed four borders we finaly got the destination. Oh, I need to notice that one of our friends dismounted from the train nearly midnight because his passport had expired! After our getting the Hostel (which was situated at the historical building) guys went on an adventure, practiced their English in order to find some places where hanging out and resulted in having a contact with pleasent gentlemen and his lovely dog:D  I had not got a clue how they found a craft to get up from the bed after a nap, but we started our t...
